Spider / Product Mover
Spiders are material handlers with specific duties such as moving product from one stage of production to the next. This position is designated to a specific area within the plant. A qualified applicant must be mobile, organized and self-motivated.
Saw Operator
Saw operators cut polyurethane foam and other light density materials into specific sizes per specifications. Vahala Foam has a wide variety of saws including: large and small block, slitting, and large angle saws. A qualified applicant should possess math skills and have basic saw cutting experience with materials such as foam, wood, or other materials.
Gluer
Gluers assemble and adhere foam furniture for marine and/ or R.V. product using air pressured glue guns. A qualified applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Checker / Quality Control
Checkers/quality control are specialists that perform the final inspection of our product. Additionally, a checker would be responsible for labeling part numbers on products and preparing items for shipping. A checker must be detail oriented and organized.
Sewer
Sewers use industrial machines to sew simple patterned material together. Speed and accuracy is a must in this position. Strong finger dexterity is a positive trait in this applicant.
R&D Assistant
R&D assistants build products, write specifications, cut material to create samples and assist production in understanding how to manufacture products. R&D assistants also work closely with Vahala Foam customers to create customized products. Assistants must be able to read a tape measure, have basic computer knowledge, and have a high school diploma, or a GED. Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, as well as a willingness to help others and learn are the key qualities necessary in an applicant. CAD skills and/or CNC experience are beneficial. A valid driver's license is required. This is an entry level position.

Maintenance Technician
Maintenance techs are responsible for the mechanical maintenance on all production and auxiliary equipment. Techs execute corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, often work independently, send reports to the leadership team, and ensure that maintenance supplies and records are properly maintained. This position requires excellent attendance. A valid driver’s license is required. This is an entry level position.

Administration
Administration assistants enter data into computer systems. Depending on the administration department this person is hired into, they may create sales orders, sales invoices, or sales quotes. Administration assistants will communicate with Vahala Foam customers via email or phone, assist in daily office needs and must have the ability to work on and complete tasks independently. Attention to detail and excellent attendance are key qualities found in desired applicants. A valid driver's license is required. This is an entry level position.

Driver (Class A CDL)
Class A CDL drivers make local runs on first shift and are home every evening. They must maintain legible driving logs and make deliveries in a safe and timely manner. This position requires excellent attendance. Experience not required.
